A designer has been chosen to create a new typeface. It should push boundariesand hold true to typographical elements. My goal was to modernize one of the oldest Germanic alphabets, the ancient Runic alphabet. The oldest Runic inscriptions date around 150 AD. Runes are comprised of vertical and diagonal lines and look similar to the English alphabet.
